As a Security Engineer Intern at Zivver, you’ll gain hands-on experience tackling real-world security challenges while collaborating with a dynamic team of seasoned professionals. Dive into exciting operational tasks like managing threat alerts in our cutting-edge IDR system and assessing vulnerabilities. You'll also contribute to impactful projects, such as ethical hacking, security testing for Zivver’s software, creating incident response playbooks, and conducting AWS cloud security assessments. 

This role offers a chance to specialize in areas like ethical hacking, web application and cloud security, vulnerability management, or threat and incident response. Guided by two experienced security engineers, you’ll develop practical skills and gain insights that set you apart in the cybersecurity field. 🤝 What We Offer 

  • A challenging internship for 24 to 40 hours per week, lasting a minimum of 20 weeks. 

  • Time to work on your school assignment(s).

Job requirements

🎯 Who Are We Looking For 

  • A security enthusiast  

  • Demonstrable affinity with information security through for example your studies, Git projects or ethical hacking experience 

  • A good understanding of one of mainstream programming languages (JS, Java, C#, etc) or scripting  

  • Effective communication skills and a willingness to learn. 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree or taking a practical course in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Security.  

  • Available to start in as soon as possible (exact date to be discussed). 

  • Excellent English communication skills. 

  • Residency in the Netherlands with the ability to be at our office at least two days a week.
