Zivver is seeking an Engineering Manager with strong Cloud Infrastructure and Data Engineering experience who will not only lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams but also take an informal leadership role across the company's broader DevOps practices, and Data Strategy. This is a unique opportunity to manage and mentor a high-impact team while playing a pivotal role in Zivver’s technical growth.


Role Overview
As Engineering Manager, you will lead multi-disciplinary Product & Engineering (P&E) agile teams. Your leadership will be critical in enabling the team to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions.

In addition to your formal leadership duties, you will serve as an informal leader for Zivver's Cloud and Data Strategy across the entire company, guiding the implementation of best practices, driving innovation, and maintaining architectural consistency.


What You’ll Do:

Team Development & Performance:

  • Develop and enhance team performance within your span of control through effective mentoring, regular performance reviews, and personalized development plans, including fostering leadership skills in others.

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Oversee the hiring process and onboarding of new team members, ensuring their integration and personal development within the organization.

Agile Practices & Technical Excellence:

  • Adopt and promote agile methodologies and software engineering best practices, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Cross-Team Collaboration:

  • Facilitate collaboration and communication across teams, including Product, Design, and customer-facing teams, to align priorities and ensure a focus on delivering customer value.

Collaboration with Leadership:

  • Collaborate with other engineering managers and the VP of Engineering on initiatives that impact the entire engineering organization, such as recruitment and mentorship programs.

Organizational Impact:

  • Lead and drive Product & Engineering initiatives that create organization-wide impact, advocating for the priority of architectural roadmap items and collaborating with all teams across Zivver.

Job requirements

Technical Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of Cloud Infrastructure experience (preferably with a strong grasp of AWS), Kubernetes and Observability.
  • 2+ years in a leadership role, managing cross-functional agile teams.
  • Proven experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and managing agile teams.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud Infrastructure (AWS preferred), security best practices, CI/CD pipeline and performance optimization.
  • Experience collaborating with back-end, DevOps, and data engineering teams on end-to-end system design.

  • Experience working in a SaaS environment, particularly in building scalable cloud-based applications.
