Senior Project Lead

Job description

Some are born with it, and you’re one of them. You’re a true project manager. Let’s tick off the boxes: you’re structured, organized and (almost annoyingly) eager. Managing a portfolio with 30+ enterprise customers excites you because you know everything about every project and product and thrive on putting out multiple fires a day, but more important you like to prevent them. Working with clients is what makes you tick: you work based on our delivery playbook, but you’re also able to create a customized implementation approach for each client.

You are a fierce advocate for your clients, but can also push back when they come up with unreasonable demands. You coach our clients, using the technology in the most effective way while you’re continuously thinking about how we can optimize the process, make it smarter and scalable. Because that’s what we do. Zivver is a fast-growing software company with big ambitions that go way beyond the Dutch borders, and we’re here to make IT work. Your new colleague Oussama agrees: “I studied medical information science, but the reason I don’t work as a programmer in an innovation lab is because most of the IT projects eventually fail. If making IT work for organizations as well as users makes your heart beat faster – this is the place you really want to work.”

Hot takes

  • Ok, ok, crazy start-up vocabulary is for the office, not the client

  • Your arrange all birthday gifts for your friends (as getting things done is your first nature)

  • You don’t lose your head when multiple fires are burning

  • SaaS technology and its impact on enterprise IT environments and end-users excites you on a daily basis

  • You hate having to reinvent the wheel and share our love for automating everything!

  • You love to make your customers succeed!

  • And an international working field is the icing on the cake

A day at Zivver

You kick off your Friday morning with the weekly team meeting. This is the moment where all Project leads get together and discuss the highs and lows of the week (both personal and work related), share experiences, best practices and learn from each other. Every now and then, a department head joins the meeting and gives an update on their work. This week, the Head of Engineering is invited and shares insights about new ways we’re going to roll out products. This is good to know – as this will help you manage your client’s expectations. Normally, you would jump into your car straight afterwards to meet one of your clients – but because of this ongoing pandemic, you’ve scheduled a video call with a Project Manager of the UWV (employee insurance agency Netherlands). Together with their IT partner KPN, you discuss the possibilities of how we can efficiently roll out Zivver and train their IT staff, so they can maintain the products properly.

After the video call, you share the customer’s difficulties and your ideas with your colleague Vincent. He gives you some feedback based on his experiences and points out a great way of arranging it differently – which works out even more effectively. This gives you some food for thought. Just when you hang up the phone, The customer lead of one of the NHS organizations (UK National Health System) calls. She’s about to go live and is stressed because a few things aren’t working properly. You remain calm as always - because your product knowledge allows you to answer their main question on the spot and the rest will be answered in close collaboration with the technical team. You wrap up your day by writing your hours and updating the customer’s progress in our system.
